Introduction

Many of my students have asked me about how best to start a meditation practice. They also tell me that they think that they’re doing it wrong or that meditation isn’t coming easily to them. The most common complaint is that they cannot clear their minds of extraneous thoughts.

Many people think that if they can't "control" their mind, then that means they failed at meditation. Rest assured when I tell you that you can’t get meditation wrong. There are ways to enhance meditation and ways to meditate more effectively, but you really cannot fail.

In this course we use guided meditations. I have found these to be the most effective for those who are fairly new to meditation. This is certainly not the only way to meditate and may not even be the "best" way to meditate. There are many different methods of meditation. Ultimately, what works for you and what helps you to meditate regularly is the best method for YOU.

Often people say to me that they can’t be still and quiet, the harder they try, the worse off it is. There lies the problem, the more you try to control your mind in meditation, the more resistance you will encounter. In this course I guide you into a relaxed state with each meditation. I share with you simple practices that you van do to focus and be mindful throughout the day that take as little as 20 seconds.

If you are just starting out, it is very hard to meditate for long periods of time. Don't be discouraged by this. You can start by sitting quietly and listening to relaxing music for as little as 3 minutes and then build from there.

I look forward to sharing with you, the meditation techniques that have helped me. You are in the right place my friend! Your body and your life is a direct result of your mind (thoughts) and you CAN re-train it with consistency.
